Description
This photograph shows the aftermath and devastation caused by high water, ice and logs from the 1936 flood on Main Street in Ridlonville.
The Goodwin Houses can be seen on the left hand side of this photograph. As well as the Tydol Gas sign in the back right.
Not only were many homes and buildings ruined by the flood. The Ridlonville Bridge was also swept away in this disaster and high volumes of debris from bridges, buildings, and in particular the Oxford Paper Company, up stream were deposited in the area.
